It has been reported that this year, IIM Bangalore will take charge of the CAT examination and Tata Consultancy Services will continue to be the test conducting agency for the examination. The news was confirmed through official sources and the examination dates, pattern and other information will be published in the month of June, 2016.
There will be certain changes made to the examination according to Professor Bandyopadhyay from IIM Bangalore and there will be changes to reduce the amount of skewness that is caused due to the weighted percentile marking system across multiple examination slots. The CAT committee is determined to identify students from various backgrounds and it will seek to enrich the learning experience as a whole in the IIMS by making necessary changes to the examination.

NMAT or the Narsee Monjee Admission Test is conducted nationwide that is scheduled to begin for from the first or second week of October and it will span up to the third week of December. Over 50,000 students sit for the NMAT according to the data of the last three years and the entrance allows students to attempt becoming a part of the NMIMS family in the following courses:
- MBA (Pharmaceuticals Management)
- MBA (Capital Markets)
- MBA (Banking)
- MBA (Human Resource Management)
- MBA (Entrepreneurship & Family Business)
Students can attempt the examination three times in a single year and the highest scores are considered.
Application Date Announcement: Applications are live and the registrations end in October 2016
Examination Results: Results dates are subject to date of examination and generally come out during the examination window of October to December itself.
The IIFT examination is held for admission into the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in the Delhi and Kolkata Campuses. More than 50,000 aspirants apply for the examination and anyone with a recognized bachelor’s degree (3 or more years) can apply for the examination. The IIFT has a very unique examination pattern.
Application Date Announcement: Second week of July 2016 with last date of application being in September 2016. The examination is held on the fourth Sunday of November each year.
Examination Results: Results dates are to be declared in the third week of December 2106.
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is a national level examination conducted by the Symbiosis group of institutes. The examination was introduced in 2007 and it has been a gateway to some of the most premier institutes in the country. The examination sees anything between 50,000 to 75,000 students. The score is applicable for 14 institutes under the Symbiosis brand.
Application Date Announcement: Registrations begin in August 2016 and registrations close in November 2016.

MAT or the Management Aptitude Test is one of the national entrance examinations held each year for management courses by the AIMA (All India Management Association) for screening candidates for the MBA programs of member institutes.
It is one of the gateways for access to top tier MBA colleges all over the country. The examination consists of 200 MCQ questions that candidates need to attempt in a period of 2.5 hrs. The examination is conducted 4 times a year and the next slot is in September 2016.
Application Date Announcement: Registrations Open. Last Date for registrations online on 23rd August 2016.
Examination Results: Third week of September 2016.
CMAT is one of the most prestigious examinations conducted by the AICTE for admission into MBA programs in colleges all over the country. The CMAT examination allows candidates to get admissions into over 3500 AICTE approved colleges across India. On an average 70,000 students register for the examination each year and the competition levels are quite high.
Application Date Announcement: Registrations open in the first week of November 2016 and end on the second week of December 2016.
Examination Results: January 2017.
